This video illustrates the second data recovery attempt of a PNY 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Memory Drive, and showcases the use of an ACELab PC-3000 Flash to perform a chip-off NAND Flash data recovery.

The drive was first used successfully, then safely ejected from the computer that was using it, and finally 15 minutes failed to mount to a different computer.

In Part 1, a DeepSpar USB Stabilizer Pro 10Gb was used to try to access the Flash drive but was unsuccessful in even initializing the drive.

Next, the USB Flash drive was viewed using a thermal infrared camera while being powered, revealing a shorted Phison PS2251-07-6 Flash memory controller.

Lastly, with no donor drive available, the BGA Flash memory chip was desoldered from the logic board using hot air, and the chip was cleaned of solder and flux.

This video shows the continuation of the data recovery where the BGA Flash memory chip is read and the data reconstructed using an ACELab PC-3000 Flash with a BGA-152/BGA-132 adapter.
