Wat Pak Nam is an ancient temple in Samut Songkhram province. Inside the temple is a statue of Luang Pho Ban Laem inside an open hall near the river. Wat Pak Nam is the second oldest temple in the province after Wat Phet Samut.

In addition to the Luang Pho statue there is an interesting reclining Buddha as well as a huge Buddha footprint. The reclining Buddha is the oldest and largest in the area. It’s in a small wihan that was built in the Bangkok era.

On the temple grounds is the old wooden meeting hall that the original hall at the temple. Next to it is the base of another building with a standing Buddha image that local craftsman constructed.

It’s a very well maintained and worth a short visit. It’s on the Mae Klong River near several other attractions like Amphawa and Bangnoi Floating Markets.
