What Does God Allow (Why do we suffer in this life?)

Many people do not consider God unless there is a painful event in their life. They may curse God; they may ask why, and they might believe God intended them to suffer.

I want to bring some clarity to the issue. I hope that if you are suffering, this discussion might offer some relief.
