The Uninsurable Shark

Unique, and uncaptured by statistical modeling, The Shark House floats above the risk adjustment pyramid like the eye of Horace.

The Shark House consists of a 25ft long fibreglass and steel sculpture of a shark, formally titled “Untitled 1986”, crashing through the roof of an otherwise average house on a quiet residential street in rural Oxford. The sculpture is public protest artwork, standing as a an international symbol of planning (zoning) law defiance, anti-censorship, and anti-warfare.
