1 - To those languishing in Purgatory,
Who are being purged by exceeding ardor
And tormented by heavy punishment,
May thy compassion come: O Mary!

2 - Thou art the open font who washest away faults,
Thou aidest all and spurnest none:
Extend thy hand to the dead,
Who languish under continual pains: O Mary!

3 - To thee the departed piously sigh,
desiring to be pulled out of their pains,
and to be present to thy sight,
and to savor eternal joys: O Mary!

4 - To those lamenting, O Mother, hasten!
show the bowels of thy mercy:
from Jesus, obtain that through His wounds
He deign to heal them: O Mary!
