The big cat was shot with a tranquiliser dart when it strayed from the nearby forest and was spotted prowling around a village.

But before it passed out it snuck into the kitchen of a nearby home where it was discovered by two terrified female family members in Ranganathan, India.

They bolted into the bathroom, locked the door and phoned the authorities, who found the leopard nestled between the pots and pans.
