A man has died after being shot by Phoenix police Saturday afternoon.

Police say they were called to a pawn shop in the area of 19th Avenue and Indian School Road regarding an armed robbery involving a man and a woman.

Witnesses told police that they took several handguns and left the property.

When police arrived, they attempted to talk to the man and used less-lethal options against him. The man ran away from the police, approached a truck, and tried to get in the truck.

After attempting to get into the truck, the man pointed a gun at officers, and that is when the officer-involved shooting occurred. Officials later announced four officers fired their weapons.

The man died at the hospital.

He has since been identified as 42-year-old Guy Vogel Jr.

Police say the woman allegedly involved in the robbery was detained at the scene.

She has since been identified as 25-year-old Felicia Evans.

Evans is facing robbery and weapons charges.

No other injuries have been reported during this incident.
