Chuck Day is on staff with International Justice Mission (IJM), a Christian global human rights organization which fights human trafficking and other crimes against the poor throughout the Developing World.
Chuck describes himself as a “recovering lawyer”, having been in the private practice of law in the Chicago area for over a decade before moving into the non-profit world. He serves as IJM’s Director of Planned Giving, assisting all members of the IJM family with questions relating to wise charitable giving and estate planning. Specifically, Chuck helps donors see the financial and tax benefits of donating non-cash assets such as appreciated stock and real estate, establishing family foundations or Donor Advised Fund (DAF) accounts, creating life-income giving arrangements such as Charitable Remainder Trusts, and all aspects of estate giving.Show more

Chuck was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, where he still lives with his wife (Jan) and their Yellow Lab (Boomer). He and Jan have two adult children who also live in the area. He graduated from Drake University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned his J.D. from the Drake University Law School.
