Establishing the Abbey of Thelema in Sicily, Crowley sought to practice his beliefs and indulge in hedonistic pleasures. However, the commune's dark reputation and alleged acts of human and animal sacrifice led to its downfall, cementing Crowley's reputation as the wickedest man in the world.

Despite his controversies, Crowley's influence is evident in popular culture today, with musicians like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles drawing inspiration from his work.
