10 Self Inflicted Wounds In the Canadian Health Care System Today

As an RN in the Canadian Health Care system for the past 29 years, I've been thinking about 10 of the worst self-inflicted wounds in healthcare today. In no particular order:
1) Unions
2) Too Many Priorities
3) Technology Mess
4) "Best Practice" Guidelines
5) Government
6) No Prevention Focus
7) System Run By Unhealthy People
8) Consensus Style Decision Making
9) Gaming the System
10) Shutting Down Dissent Causes Harm
