A quite place: day official trailer (2024)

The trailer for "A Quiet Place: Day One" was released on Wednesday. The movie details the events that occurred over a year before the original "A Quiet Place" movie took place.The trailer depicts a normal, loud New York City day with cabs honking and people talking. Suddenly, they're hit by meteors that lead to the invasion of monsters that feed on noise.

This movie is a prequel to the first and second parts of "A Quiet Place," detailing how and why the world needed to go silent.

The movie stars Lupita Nyong’o as someone who is trying to navigate through New York City as silently as possible after the monsters take over.

The movie also stars Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff and Djimon Hounsou, who appeared in "A Quiet Place Part II."

While it is unknown if John Krasinski and Emily Blunt will be reprising their roles for the prequel, Krasinski, who was the director of both movies, declined to return to this project.
