Unfortunately, there is a long history of television shows stating they “hate” or “dislike” guns.

In this scene from NBC’s Pretender, Sydney (played by Patrick Bauchau) complains that Catherine Parker (played by Andrea Parker) shot him and says: “I never liked guns. I hope that you will stop carrying yours now” (Pretender, Season 1, Episode 15, March 8, 1997). Parker tells him that her shooting him was an accident.
