Lansdale officers free a Fox who was stuck in some netting
Two police officers earned the respective nicknames “Fox Whisperer” and “Steady Hands” after they freed a fox that was caught in some netting.
The incident occurred on February 3, police said, in Lansdale, Pennsylvania, where the animal had become trapped in netting at a local high school.
Bodycam footage shows the officers working to free the fox, which was by turns placid and exercised as one of the officers cut the netting that was tangled around its leg.
Eventually, the footage shows, the officers freed the fox, which promptly ran away.
In a caption accompanying the footage, police named the officers as Sgt Matthew “The Fox Whisperer” Erbele and Officer James “Steady Hands” Thompson.
The school where the incident occurred, Lansdale Catholic, commented: “It looks like we have some batting cage nets that need to be replaced!”
