Hike #12: Sugarloaf, San Gabriel Mountains (Angeles NF), Sylmar, CA

Hiking Sugarloaf: San Gabriel Mountains (Angeles National Forest), CA.

While on a quest to check off some San Gabriel Mountain summits that I have yet visited, I concentrated on the far western portion of the range. Mileage wise, the western side is farther away from me, so for a number of years it had been ignored. I am starting to pick them off now. Sugarloaf is probably the easiest of these peaks, so when I arrived at Lopez Canyon Park, I decided to knock it off before beginning a more difficult hike up Limerock Peak.
