The Security Service of Ukraine today makes an important contribution to the defense of the country. Counterintelligence officers, fighters of the Central Security Service "A", investigators, cyber specialists, operatives, analysts - all SBU employees are united in order to bring our Victory closer.

Together with our comrades from the Security and Defense Forces, we destroy occupiers on the front lines, eliminate invaders and war criminals, conduct unique special operations that, without exaggeration, change the picture of war. This is evidenced by the bombings of not only the Crimean bridge, but also many military facilities in the depths of the Russian Federation.

Yes, SBU soldiers are fighting in the hottest points of the front. They destroyed more than $1 billion worth of Russian armored vehicles, including more than 500 tanks. We actively work and use UAVs. Therefore, our targets include air defense systems and military facilities in occupied Crimea.

Our unique developments of sea drones "Sea baby" and "Mamay" have changed the deployment of forces in the Black Sea. In particular, 8 ships of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia were hit.

The recent special operations of the SBU at three Russian oil refineries - in Volgograd, Tuapse and Leningrad region - were extremely important. These blows are very noticeable for the Russian Federation - the Russian export of oil products has decreased by at least a third.

We also effectively counter both external and internal enemies. For example, 47 Russian spy networks were exposed.

These are just some examples of our work for the year. In general, there are many results. The time will come and we will definitely talk about our special operations in detail. For now, the SBU is focused on the main goal - to expel the occupiers from our land as soon as possible.

Under such circumstances, the actions of individual employees of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood cause real indignation. Unfortunately, the implementation of measures to combat organized drug crime led not only to receiving information about the involvement of one of the newsroom operators in the distribution of narcotic substances, but also to the public distribution of video materials.

I emphasize that such actions are unacceptable and have already caused a number of personnel decisions. Among other things, I submitted a request for the dismissal of the head of the DZND of the SBU, and the President of Ukraine signed the corresponding decree on January 31.

My position is unequivocal - the actions of individual employees cannot erase all the positive results achieved by the SBU during the war and cast a shadow over every representative of the Service: both those who fight the enemy inside the country and those comrades from the SBU who give on the field I fight my life for Ukraine. There should be punishment for any illegal actions.

I am proud of the combat comrades of the SBU - those who perform real combat tasks, really catch collaborators and traitors, really destroy the occupiers and fight against crime.

This is the true face of an effective and professional Security Service. And I, as the head of the SBU, will do everything possible so that every mass media can work freely in Ukraine. Today, we are not just building an updated SBU, but protecting democratic values, including freedom of speech and media independence. For me personally, this is a top priority from now on!

This is what makes our country different from authoritarian Russia. And it will be different in the future. Because we will make every effort to win and leave a free and safe, developed and democratic Ukraine as an inheritance for our children.
