Birth defects are among leading causes of infant death in Cincinnati

Birth defects are among the leading causes of death for infants, according to Cradle Cincinnati. Of the 486 infants that died in Hamilton County between 2012 and 2016, about 18 percent had birth defects. That is in line with the national average.
