A Beatles-mad pensioner has splashed out £10,000 recreating the iconic Cavern Club in his own garage as part of incredible man-cave dedicated to the Fab Four.

Derek Oldfield, 65, has spent the last five years creating the ultimate homage to the legendary Liverpudlian band at his home in Allenton, Derby.

The grandfather-of-five now reckons he has the best Beatles bar in England, if not the world, after decking out his garage with hundreds of pieces of memorabilia.

Derek said he was inspired to create the themed-bar after a trip with 65-year-old wife Linda to Liverpool, the home city of the famous foursome.
