Trans protests: Alberta Premier Danielle Smith “should listen to Canadians, not Tucker Carlson”

Protesters in Ottawa rallied both for and against Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s proposed changes that would block the use of puberty blockers or hormone therapy for those 15 and under unless they’ve already begun the process. She also plans to ban gender-affirming surgeries for people under the age of 18.

"[Danielle Smith] should listen to Canadians, not Tucker Carlson,” said Liberal MP Bryan May who was taking part in the rally.

“We’re here because certain leaders think it’s fair to endanger kids’ lives as political fodder,” said protester Kayleigh Chaston.
