FOMO IS A RELATIONSHIP KILLER by MADAME BELLA| Bella's Corner

🌸 What if I told you the FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FOMO) is what is keeping you single (can’t get or keep a marriageable man)? 🌸

What is the Fear of Missing Out?
The fear of missing out (FoMO) on social media refers to the apprehension that online content and interactions from others are unseen and reacted to in a timely fashion. FoMO can become problematic, leading to anxiety, interrupted sleep, lack of concentration and dependence on social media to generate gratification. (The National Library of Medicine)

In the context of marriage and family, FOMO may cause you to think you can’t have fun, travel, establish your career, seek higher education, or otherwise have a life you can enjoy… especially in your 20s or even 30s… if you get married while your “young”. But ladies, I urge you to 💡rethink💡this fallacy. Yes, there will be adjustments you will have to make but these are open conversations that you are to have with your man.

Here are some things you can do with your man (and children) that some may have convinced you that you can’t:

🌸 Travel internationally and domestically
🌸 Go on adventures like sky diving or hiking
🌸 Seek higher education
🌸 Build your career

Lastly, FOMO may have you thinking that if you “settle” aka choose to be exclusive with or marry a particular man, then you’d be missing out on other “better” potential suitors but to what end? Until you’re jaded by the dating market? Until you have multiple children? Until you’re 40 or 50+ years old?

✍🏽 Comment some things below that some may think they’d miss out on if they choose to settle down or marry.
