The 55th running of the I-500 snowmobile race in Sault Ste. Marie is in the books.

Dubbed the most grueling and prestigious snowmobile race in the world, it once again attracted thousands from everywhere to see the 500-mile spectacle, in what many believed would be a shortened race this year due to the mild temperatures.

However, despite the lack of winter, and a testament to the workers and volunteers, the track held up to complete the entire race, with the #74 sled of Bunke Racing taking the checkered flag on a Polaris.

February 1st, 2025 is set for next years I-500.
