Upgrading my old Squier California / Series blend mod

In this video, I document the process of upgrading my old Squier California strat with better eletronics and an interesting mod I call "series blend".

I see a lot of references to splitting humbuckers and adding a blend knob to mix neck and bridge together in a strat. But references to singles wired in series or a "series blend" knob are few and far between.

For the basic stuff, I always refer to the Seymour Duncan wiring diagrams:

All clean tones are the guitar pluged to a Boss IR-200 in Fender simulation. The overdrives are provided by a Route 66 American Overdrive always in the same settings, plugged before the IR-200.
