Horror moment teen snowboarder falls from chairlift

A 16-year-old snowboarder was sent to the hospital after falling from a chairlift at a ski resort in Mammoth Lakes, California, on January 27, local news reported.

Dramatic footage captured by Jason Caballero at Mammoth Mountain shows the teenager dangling from the chairlift while employees and guests set up a net to soften her fall.

A spokesperson for the ski resort told local news: “As the chair began its ascent, the guest, who for unknown reasons was not completely seated, began sliding off the chair."
