Transforming Offshore Wind: TransOcean's Venture into Foundation Installation

Here at TransOcean we're very excited about this prospect of you know potentially going into the offshore wind sector installing you know the foundations That's where our skill sets would be best used So combined with our skills and our partner skills Anetti we feel like we have the complete package where we can go ahead and be very successful in installing these foundations offshore Ultra deep water and a harsh environment and challenging wells with premium asset that's our core business We're not deviating from that at all just want to be very clear This is an adjacency that we can add The plan is to take an existing drill ship and repurpose it into a foundation installation vessel We have six tubes on the vessel They're called monopiles which is literally a big steel Our job is to turn it to the right direction so in a vertical Then our responsibility is to lower it into the seabed It will go so far and then you know quite frankly just like a fence post where you you hammer it down we're doing the same thing offshore but on a much larger scale So today I'm very excited with TransOcean's efforts in the energy expansion that's happening around the world We have our carbon capture wells as part of the energy expansion you know and we also have our deep sea mining efforts that are ongoing To me this final piece of that puzzle if you like in the offshore wind is really exciting and has great potential and to have a global impact So we're really proud and excited to be potentially part of that
