The HP elitebook 845 g9 is a competent laptop. Our model comes with the AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 6650u 6 core 12 thread graphics. It has radeon graphics with just 512 megs of dedicated memory. It has HDMI out, two type c that double as your charging ports. On the other side we have a headphone jack, 1 type a, and a hole for a keylock. There is an optional micro sd card reader. On the front there is a finger print reader, large track pad, and a 10keyless keyboard. The screen ok to look at, with adiquite viewing anagles. The microphone and webcam are fine enough for video calls. Yes the camera and finger print scaner is supported by windows hello.

The build quality is excellent with a sturdy construction with very little flex and wiggle. As I type on the keyboard the keys feel fine for an HP laptop. They do have mush but it is mixed with a dash of a bump when pressed to indicate the key has been pressed. As for the keys, they are a bit flat for my taste, and the size of the board is a bit small for my fingers. The track pad is large and tracks well. Palm rejection is good as even with my palm on the pad, I can still move the mouse with my finger. Also as I type my palm is on the track pad and the mouse does not move, witch is good. As with most hp laptops the f row requires the function key pressed to hit an f key. In stead, the functions such as volume brightness, and airplane, etc do not need the function key pressed for use.

In blender using the tugboat splashcreen demo, the cycles render took 9m 20s to complete. The clocks hovered around 3.2GHz for the entire test. Temperatures on the CPU went to 84 and stayed their for the test. Fans rampped up but was mostly non intrusive for the test.

As for productivity, you wont go wrong with this laptop as I handles word documents with ease. You wont have any issue with excel spreadsheets eather. 4K youtube video playback is smooth. Audio is also good, it clear easy to hear voice in a review video. Playing the Eddie Munson's Upside Down Guitar Scene on youtube was clear and clean. Your not getting base, but you do get enough into the mids to avoid sounding tinny. Infact for laptops its is really good. The speakers are branded Bang & Olufsen.

Overall I give this laptop a recommend for any office work. In today’s world thats a preaty easy bar to hit with modern cpu’s even from 5 years ago. Elitebooks in general shine from astetics, sturdy construction and repairabilty. The back comes off with phillups head screws. The parts are layed out logically. You can swapp the ram and battery without much hassle.
