I've always admired models who weren't afraid to break stereotypes and go against the grain. These women are role models for me because they show the world that beauty is much more than just a pretty face. They are strong, courageous, and intelligent women who weren't afraid to speak up for what they believe in and use their platforms to spread important messages.
My biggest role models include:
• Ashley Graham: This plus-size model fights for inclusivity in the fashion industry and shows that beauty has nothing to do with clothing size.
• Winnie Harlow: A model with vitiligo, she has become a symbol of self-acceptance and celebrates beauty in imperfection.
• Adwoa Aboah: This British-Ghanaian model is committed to fighting racism and discrimination and inspires young women to be proud of their identity. ✊
• Imaan Hammam: This Dutch model of Somali descent is a pioneer in the fight for greater representation of Muslim women in the media.
I'm grateful that these women exist and that I can follow their journey. Their determination and perseverance motivate me to be a better version of myself and to not be afraid to fight for what I believe in.
