Body cam Footage of a Man getting Shot by Cops after Pointing a BB Gun at them

On December 7, 2023, at approximately 0209 hours, a witness called 9-1-1 and reported that there was a disabled vehicle with no license plates on the entrance ramp to Henry Hudson Parkway, in the vicinity of W 177th St. and Haven Ave. At approximately 0238 hours, a second 9-1-1 caller reported that there was a crashed stolen vehicle at the same location. The caller provided a description of a black BMW 328i which was occupied by a male and a female.

As the officers approached, the suspect exited the driver’s side door armed with a BB air pistol in his right hand. The suspect pointed the pistol at one of the officers and pulled the trigger multiple times causing an audible popping sound from the CO2 canister. As a result, officers discharged their service weapons. The suspect was struck by gunfire and fell to the ground. The suspect was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The investigation later revealed that the call to 9-1-1 was placed by the suspect.
