Planting a Banana || Important Information for Potted Banana Trees

Just potting up a banana plant and seemed like a good time to talk about how to grow bananas in pots. I forgot to mention when to repot the plants, repot every year, when temps are warm, or whenever it gets to the point that you can't seem to keep the plant hydrated, possibly will see roots bulging out of the surface of the soil and perhaps the bottom of the pot. This a dwarf banana and should be fine in this 20 inch container until next year. Dwarf banana care is simple, lots of light, lots of water, lots of / frequent or regular fertilizing. Growing Musa is rewarding and simple. There are was to grow bananas that effect their sweetness and size and there are even fun bananas for the cold.
