US launches Middle East airstrikes after soldiers' deaths. Sgt. William Jerome Rivers of Carrollton, Sgt. Kennedy Sanders of Waycross and Sgt. Breonna Moffett, all from Georgia were killed in a drone strike last Sunday on a U.S. base in Jordan. Biden put out a statement shortly after the strikes were confirmed Friday, warning, "If you harm an American, we will respond."
