The amazing beaches in Khao Lak are definitely one of the highlights in Thailand. Located on the Andaman Sea these sandy beaches are what you think of when you picture a beach vacation. The beautiful natural scenery with palms and tall sea pines are what make this place special with an isolated feeling while you walk the long stretches of beaches.

The beach is separated from Bang Niang Beach by a small creek that can be crossed during low tide if you want to explore that beach as well. This beach is also surrounded by a few 5 star and high end resorts making it very quiet and less crowded.

Nang Thong Beach

Nang Thong Beach is a popular spot among tourists and locals in Khao Lak. It is a long stretch of beach north of Sunset Beach featuring a lighthouse and black sand. It is a great spot to capture the sunsets or exercising on the beach. Nang Thong could be considered the center of the Khao Lak Area, where you can find local restaurants, bars, banks and other amenities along the road.

Bang Niang Beach

Bang Niang Beach is surrounded by local hotels and a local night market. This beach has a golden sandy beach area that is perfect for enjoying a day under the sun or taking a walk to enjoy the scenic view. A must visit destination for beach lovers if you visit here.

Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is one of the best beaches for captivating coastal views and stunning sunsets. The beach is located right next to Khaolak mountain, offering visitors an enchanting experience with its breathtaking natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. There are also many hotels and restaurants in this area with a small national park on Khaolak mountain that leads down to a small sandy beach.

Khao Lak has many other things to do and see other than the beaches. It is one of the real gems in Thailand.
