MZTV 1403: Safeguarding Truth With Laws of Language and Rules of Scriptural Interpretation

God revealed Himself using words. With these words, God composed sentences. These sentences contain nouns, verbs, and adjectives. Being the poetic type, God employed many figures of speech. He invented all of this primarily for the purpose OF revealing Himself—although "Innocents Abroad" was a pleasant side-effect.

Why did God do it this way? The answer is extremely important and is the key to understanding God. God chose words and sentences because, as with the physical world, words and sentences (and certainly figures of speech) follow immutable laws. This is the kindest cut imaginable. Imagine there were no laws. There could then be no revelation. Then the One bent on revealing Himself would be found clawing air, for all intents and purposes rendering Himself mute.

Since immutable laws are essential to the grasping of a language-loving Deity, would it not follow that learning and abiding by these laws would become the surest and safest route to a proper understanding of God? And that disregarding the laws would lead inevitably to chaos and mistakes of the most embarrassing kind?
