Marriage - Graduate into Manhood - TakeCharge

At TakeCharge, one of our top priorities has been to change the expectations of marriage in the black community. In the 1960’s the Federal Government financially incentivized women to have children outside of marriage, which had a detrimental effect on the black family; Marriage rates fell from 80 percent two-parent households to 80 percent fatherless homes. The black community has not seen a single national initiative to reverse this trend - until now…We are changing expectations of marriage in the black community.

Last month, we shared a short video of women who volunteer as TakeCharge Ambassadors encouraging women about marriage. In our latest production, you’ll hear directly from men who volunteer as TakeCharge Ambassadors about the importance of marriage, the positive outcome that a two parent home has on children, and how marriage helps men graduate into manhood.

Your support continues to help in a meaningful way – thank you! TakeChargeMN.com
