Unlike Japanese gamers, who received a playable teaser for Shenmue, gamers in the West who were eager for the title had to settle for this 6-minute video, which was featured on the demo disc bundled with the November 2000 issue of the Official Dreamcast Magazine.

This video is a direct conversion of the movie file I ripped from my Dreamcast disc. The video's aspect ratio was resized to 4:3.
