A New Celebration Comes To The Upper Peninsula For The Snowy Owl

A new festival is coming to the Upper Peninsula, to celebrate its wintery habitat.

The Snowy Owl Festival will be a month-long celebration of the elusive bird, and a chance to get up close and personal with them.

Taking place in Hessel, all February, the celebration is offering bird walking tours, how-to classes to find the snowy owl, live presentations, building classes for bedding for the winter birds, and much more. Some of the events have already sold out.
