Introduction:

Ingredients:
1 pound ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 hoagie rolls or sub rolls
8 slices provolone or American cheese
Instructions:
Prepare the Steak:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Sauté the thinly sliced steak until browned. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.
Sauté the Onions and Peppers:
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Sauté the thinly sliced onions and green bell peppers until soft and caramelized. Season with a pinch of salt.
Combine Steak and Vegetables:
Add the sautéed steak back into the skillet with the onions and peppers. Mix well to combine and heat through.
Melt the Cheese:
Place slices of provolone or American cheese over the steak and vegetable mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese.
Prepare the Rolls:
Slice the hoagie rolls in half and lightly toast them.
Assemble the Sandwich:
Spoon the cheesy steak and vegetable mixture onto the bottom half of each roll.
Complete the Sandwich:
Place the top half of the roll over the filling, pressing down gently.
Slice and Serve:
Use a sharp knife to slice each sandwich in half. Serve hot and enjoy the gooey, flavorful goodness!
