20240131 Day 661 Part-2

Travel Days (Going East)

So, a lot of you ask about how it’s possible I’ve gone almost 2 years unbroken with all the traveling I do. Let me run you through this particular (a typical) travel day
-
Travel day I’m up 12:30 (snooze) 01:00 😂 Pop some caffeine (first of 3 daily iterations) and sip on pre-workout/creatine intra-workout

At the gym and on the bike by 02:00-03:00, 03:00-04:00 toes to bar, mobility and record keeping (green book, excel, digital trackers)

04:00-05:00 shower, triple thick (6x scoops 😁) post-training shake and I make sure to brush my teeth and gargle to get the sweet taste out of my mouth. 05:15 Uber to Airport

06:00 bag checked, through security chillin’

Since meal-1 ended at 05:00, at 07:00 precisely 2 hours later I’ll pop some caffeine. The second of 3 iterations each day.

07:50 Texas time depart to DC via Denver

08:30-ish land in Denver, Then, precisely 2 hours after my second caffeine and 4 hours (remember my “stop snacking thing?”) after my post-training triple thick shake, 09:00-09:30 Meal-2.

I make it a point to floss and gargle well after this meal (remember my video on removing taste to eliminate cravings?) because it’s going to be a long, probably 5-6 hour stretch before meal-3/dinner and I DONT snack.

I’ll try to catch a nap now that I have food in me and a few hours. 11:30 CO time (airplane mode) or precisely 2 hours after finishing meal-2 mid-flight I take my third and final iteration of caffeine. I should land around 2 hours after this.

15:00 (13:00 CO time) Land in DC, grab my check bag and the rental, then head towards the hotel. For food tonight I’ll swing by the local Chipotle. Grab some Carne Asada, veggies (peppers, onions) and hot sauces. I’ll make another video on how to measure meals without a food scale using my “fist” method.

18:00 Check in at the hotel, settle in and 18:30 (16:30 CO time) roughly 7-ish hours after the third iteration of caffeine and 9-ish hours after meal-2 I eat dinner on the East Coast. That last stretch turned into a bit of a fast (no snacking) but a few of those hours I was sleeping so I didn’t get that hungry 👍🏿

Consistency will, in of itself have a very robust effect on whatever you’re trying to accomplish. If you can really dial it in and do generally the same stuff day after day, your systems, mental, hormonal, etc get into a rhythm and things start working with exceptional efficiency without any significant perturbations to disrupt them 🤷🏿‍♂️
