A week ago, scientists first showed the "last breath" of a chameleon.
While most chameleons in the wild can live from 2 to 7 years, and larger species - from 10 to 14 years, Labord chameleons live only
4-5 months after hatching.
Scientists also note that the Labord chameleons are one of the rarest species of chameleons in the world.
At the same time, their life expectancy is not only the shortest among chameleons, but also one of the shortest among all four-legged vertebe.
"Viewing the footage, we were amazed and touched by the colorful spectacle that was filmed. Scientists have never seen anything like this in the wild before," the authors said.
