Diddy gave him his whole image. Who's to say he didn't see homie from Mississippi already doing his thing in 1993 and gave Biggie the song idea and 'Notorious' Pseudonym in 1994??? 'Biggie Smalls' name was already copyrighted in 1992 when he tried to use it, so he couldn't go by that moniker.
