BIBLE SCHOOL EDITION — Nathan shoots the breeze with Pastor Scott Frerking about Jesus being fully human and how he can fully identify with us. They also discuss 1 John 4.1-21 and the gnostic origins behind the pessimistic nature of humanity and how this belief hinders humanity's ability to mature in Jesus and be led by him into freedom and victory over sin.

APPLICATION QUESTIONS
In difficult circumstances and with difficult people, what does abiding in Jesus look like for you? What thoughts, feelings, or behaviors do you have that trigger your awareness that you might not be abiding in Jesus?

ACTIVATION STEPS
Talk with a trusted, Spirit-filled family member, friend, or spouse about when it is most difficult for each of you to abide in Jesus. Develop a plan for how you will encourage one another when those moments come. Use last week’s activation step as a starting point.
