Barbed wire, barriers erected outside European parliament

Tractor protests and blockades of major highways have been seen throughout Europe in recent months, with thousands of farmers taking part across Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Italy and Greece, among other countries, to protest against EU regulations and cheap imports.

And recently the farmers took to the streets of Brussels to express their opposition to the bloc’s officials.
