A lightweight hybrid vision transformer network for radar-based human activity recognition

https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-023-45149-5

Radar-based human activity recognition (HAR) offers a non-contact technique with privacy protection and lighting robustness for many advanced applications.

Complex deep neural networks demonstrate significant performance advantages when classifying the radar micro-Doppler signals that have unique correspondences with human behavior. However,

in embedded applications,
the demand for lightweight and low latency poses challenges to the
radar-based HAR network construction. In this paper,
an efficient network based on a lightweight hybrid Vision Transformer (LH-ViT)
is proposed to address the HAR accuracy and network lightweight simultaneously.

This network combines the efficient convolution operations with the strength of the self-attention mechanism in ViT.

Feature Pyramid architecture is applied for the multi-scale feature extraction for the micro-Doppler map. Feature enhancement is executed by
the stacked Radar-ViT subsequently, in which the fold and unfold operations are added to lower the computational load of the attention mechanism.

The convolution operator in the LH-ViT is replaced by the RES-SE block, an efficient structure that combines the residual learning framework with
the Squeeze-and-Excitation network.

Experiments based on two human activity datasets indicate our method’s advantages in terms of expressiveness and computing efficiency over traditional methods.

HODET: Hybrid Object DEtection and Tracking using mmWave Radar and Visual Sensors

Image sensors have been explored heavily in automotive applications for collision avoidance and varying levels of autonomy.

It requires a degree of brightness, therefore, the use of an image sensor in nighttime operation or dark conditions can be problematic along
with challenging weather such as fog. Radar sensors have been employed to help cover the various environmental challenges with visible spectrum cameras.

Edge computing technology has the potential to address a number of issues such as real-time processing requirements, off-loading of processing from congested servers, and size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) constraints.

This paper proposes a novel Hybrid Object DEtection and Tracking (HODET)
using mmWave Radar and Visual Sensors at the edge.

The HODET is a computing application of low SWaP-C electronics performing object detection,

tracking and identification algorithms with the simultaneous use of image and radar sensors.
While the machine vision camera alone could estimate the distance of an object, the radar sensor will provide an accurate distance and vector of movement.

This additional data accuracy can be leveraged to further discriminate a detected object to protect against spoofing attacks.

A real-world smart community public safety monitoring scenario is selected to verify the effectiveness of HODET,
which detects, tracks objects of interests and identify suspicious activities.
The experimental results demonstrate the feasibility of the approach.

INTERNET OF BEHAVIOR

https://site.ieee.org/sb-nhce/files/2021/06/Internet-of-Behaviour.pdf

The Global Information Grid (GIG)

is a network of information transmission and processing maintained by the United States Department of Defense. More descriptively,

it is a worldwide network of information transmission, of associated processes, and of personnel serving to collect, process, safeguard, transmit, and manage this information.
It is an all-encompassing communications project of the United States Department of Defense.
The GIG makes this immediately available to military personnel, to those responsible for military politics, and for support personnel.
It includes all infrastructure, bought or loaned, of communications, electronics, informatics (including software and databases),
and security.
It is the most visible manifestation of network-centric warfare.
It is the combination of technology and human activity that enables warfighters to access information on demand.

The Bioelectric Circuitry of the Cell

The study of electrical field effects on cells dates back to 1892 when Wilhelm Roux observed pronounced stratification of the cytoplasm of animal eggs when exposed to electric fields. Over the many decades since, a number of electric field effects have been implicated in the functioning of living cells, in particular in the cytoskeletal or cytoplasmic self-organization processes. For example, electrotherapies and wound healing have been hypothesized to involve ionic current flows.

At the cell level, cytochrome oxidase enzyme has been linked to electric current action [1] and cell division coherent polarization waves have been proposed as playing a major role in chromosome alignment and subsequent segregation [2]. In addition, endogenous electric currents have been detected in animal cells. In the phase between fertilization and the first cleavage, a steady current enters the animal pole and leaves the vegetal pole. In the silkmoth oocyte-nurse complex, the oocyte cytoplasm is slightly more positive (by 10 mV)
than the nurse cell cytoplasm, which allows for the passing of a small electric current on the order of 5 × 10−8 A [3]. A steady current enters the prospective cleavage furrow in both frog and sea urchin eggs during the initial period prior to cleavage formation, but after initiation, this current reverses its direction and leaves the furrow region [3].

On one side, nanosheets made of graphene or graphene derivatives (graphene oxide, or its reduced form) can be used as carriers for drug delivery. Here, an important aspect is to evaluate their toxicity,
which strongly depends on flake composition, chemical functionalization and dimensions.
On the other side, graphene can be exploited as a substrate for tissue engineering.
In this case, conductivity is probably the most relevant amongst the various properties of the different graphene materials,
as it may allow to instruct and interrogate neural networks, as well as to drive neural growth and differentiation, which holds a great potential in regenerative medicine.

https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnsys.2018.00012/full

There is a large volume of evidence of people injected with the CONVID 'vaXXine' becoming magnetic following the injection.

The reason for this appears to be that most of the injections contain tiny nanon-particulates of graphene oxide wrapped in hydrogel.

Graphene is a relatively new material that is highly responsive to electromagnetic frequencies.

At certain high frequencies the material is excited and oxidizes very rapidly. These frequencies are that same as those emitted by 5G wireless technology.
