Living in big cities is a big fat scam all around the world. Yes the salary is bigger but the cost of living and the lifestyle also increases to you end up with basically not much, living on a month to month basis on rent realising that all your economies go on that.
In London as in many hyped cities the rent in this case for example is 1700 pounds for a flat that is 2161 usd which if you think about it its just bonker. The problem with fast developing cities is that prices go up and up and up as less and less owners exist and more people come to work. Eventually the city will crumble on its own weight as owners do not wish to drop prices. For example the Covid era only dropped the prices to 10% or 15% in London.
And yet, why do so many people come to these places? Because in many parts of the world the governments are very against the people and even if the prices are lower its not safe or you cant find a decent job that is not a totally crime against humanity, sclavery.
Prices will only get higher and higher until eventually the city will crash on its own weight and at the end of the cycle beggars will come. Which already happens.
