"The name Finisterre, like that of Finistère in France, derives from the Latin finis terrae, meaning "end of the earth". It is sometimes said to be the westernmost point of the Iberian Peninsula."

I grew up on the Finisterre spending a lot of time at the Embarcadero while my dad stood watch. I was part of the welcoming party when it came down from Seattle, got to run all over that boat, shaft alley's the whole nine. My dad fished on it for years. Love that boat. Then the EPA "observers" ruined San Diego's Fleet, although back in the 70's the govt. didn't charge the boat owner a $1,000 a day spy on him. We are at land's end.
