One person killed after vehicle hits utility pole on Indianapolis' southeast side

One person is dead after a vehicle hit a pole on Indianapolis' southeast side Tuesday evening. Officers were called to the scene just after 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Southport Road and South Arlington Avenue. Police a vehicle left the road and hit a utility pole. The driver was killed.
