Canning Shelter got it name from being located between the two major arms of the Canning River.

Heading North to South, the Canning shelter will be the eighth shelter you come to, between Brookton Shelter & Monadnocks.

From Brookton Shelter to Canning shelter is estimated at 11.2 Kilometers, 7 miles.

From Canning shelter to Monadnocks shelter is estimated 16.3 Kilometers, 10.1 miles.

Canning shelter can sleep between 12 & 15 people.

A mix of some new camp pitches and some old camp pitches.
