Michael Hastings case solved?

Michael Hastings was killed in a car crash over a decade ago and some believe it was work of Intelligence Services due to his vigilance in exposing truths within the government. He is the last real journalist we had in this country. His death has been clouded with conspiracy theories, but what could have really happened?
