Idaho's Digital Driver's License Proposal

Rep Stephanie Mickelson is planning on introducing legislation to enable Digital Driver's Licenses here in Idaho. Is the expanded convenience worth the risk of theft? Can our government be trusted with having this information available on the internet? Or are we just blowing smoke and this is a great thing?
