Poem wording:-

A Muse

A Muse?! Amuse, Amusing, am using ….??!
You Must HAVE ONE!! I’m told.
Who can I use? …. Emmm.
To blame for ‘this’ and
to exalt for ‘that’.

For my ‘raison d’être’ (reason for being).
Or as my “joie de vivre” (joy of life)
Et cetera, et cetera, et cetera!!

To ‘attribute’ kindly … for my success!!
or to ‘abuse’ blindly …. when in distress?!!

So, as I walk gracefully along, the avenue …
I can ‘nod gently’ and perhaps ‘tip my cap’!!

A Muse, ha ha ha …. Ahh.
One I can direct … sit ‘here’, no ‘there’,
wear ‘this’, no ‘that’ …
‘leave on’ … or no … ‘take off’ that hat!!
‘Ohh, I see your beauty!?’
‘Stay … you’ve not done your duty?!’
By this director …… this dictator!!
This ‘artiste’ … your intimidator?!

‘Ok so …. Have it your way!’
You are dismissed. Next’. I say ‘NEXT’. I SAY NEXT!!

No, No Muse.
None other, up upon a pedestal.
Set to topple, fall … or to raise my gall!

No, I decline, in fact … I refuse!
No need for a ‘Muse’,
Never did like to any other abuse.
To use as the ‘scapegoat’,
To deflect from the truth!
Try see it from the experienced eyes,
of those shod in Capricorn’s shoes!
Then choose!!!

A Muse … you must have one?
No, I myself ‘amuse’.
I myself use, abuse, choose, refuse,
blame, praise, shame, raise, dismay, confuse,
direct, astound, hooray and display!!

I learned from my experiences …
my joys and my blues.

No. No Muse
I do it alone, not just some of it. But all?!!
Perhaps I now am ‘the muse’ …
now that surely is amusing!! Titter.

No Muse. I amuse myself …
I am my own guru!!
None other needed to cause
a smile or laugh, to delude or even deceive.

Life is enough to amuse ….
it is my owned inner muse.
And you know it arises
quite easily, when you choose.
