Two dead in crash near S. Rainbow Blvd., W. Spring Valley Pkwy.

Las Vegas police are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident in the southwest valley where two individuals lost their lives in a collision on Monday.

Based on information from a social media post, the fatal accident took place at the intersection of S. Rainbow Blvd. and W. Spring Valley Parkway North. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), a sedan was heading northbound on Rainbow Blvd. and attempted a left turn onto Spring Valley Pkwy. Meanwhile, a motorcyclist was traveling southbound on Rainbow Blvd. at a notably high speed.

As the sedan initiated its turn onto Spring Valley Pkwy., the motorcyclist collided with the front passenger door of the sedan. Tragically, both the motorcyclist and the sedan's passenger were pronounced deceased at the scene. The sedan's driver was transported to a nearby hospital with severe injuries.

Authorities have advised people to avoid the area, as an ongoing investigation is currently underway. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is diligently looking into this double fatal crash involving a motorcycle that occurred in the southwest valley on Monday evening.
