Is NBA using an Electromagnet in their Basketball Rims?

What do you think? Have you ever seen this phenomena? The NBA basketball seems very attracted to what would be called the BRICK part of the rim. Funny enough, the brick part of the rim would be the most logical place to place the biggest part of the electromagnet to attract the ball safely into the hoop.
