DPD, federal agencies team up to fight opioid crisis

Rumble The city of Detroit, Wayne County and federal agencies are teaming up to fight the opioid crisis. During a press conference on Monday, Chief James Craig and others announced the Heroin/Opioid Response Group, a federal and DPD agency that will target organizations trafficking heroin, fentanyl and other illicit opioids. In 2017, there were 267 murders but 383 opioid deaths, with the numbers in the entire metro area believed to be in the thousands.
